In 2016, she was elected Commissioner of the Plainview Water District, where she is finishing her sixth year in her second term. Just after her first election, Amanda immediately became active on wider level and in 2017 was elected to the executive board of Nassau Suffolk Water Commissioners’ Association where
she served as President in 2021 and is currently the Legislative Chair; she also serves as the Legislative Co-chair of the Long Island Water Conference.
